Description:
Tuberculosis penyakit menular langsung yang disebabkan oleh kuman tuberculosis (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) yang ditularkan melalui udara (droplet nuclei) saat seorang pasien tuberculosis batuk dan percikan ludah yang mengandung bakteri terhirup oleh orang lain saat bernafas (Widoyono, 2008). Tuberculosis adalah penyakit infeksi menular yang disebabkan oleh mikrobakterium tuberculosis (Silvia, 2006). Badan kesehatan dunia, World Health Organitation (WHO) tahun 2008 menyatakan bahwa tuberculosis saat ini menjadi ancaman global. Menurut WHO 1,7 Milyar orang diseluruh dunia telah terinfeksi mikrobakterium tuberculosis, terdapat 8,8 juta orang menderita tuberculosis setiap tahunnya dan sekitar sepertiga populasi dunia diperkirakan telah terinfeksi dengan angka kematian 3 juta orang per tahun, maka setiap detiknya ada 1 orang terinfeksi.
